Comic? Manga? Short story? I don't know?
So, uhh, yeah, hi! If you are reading this you give a sh*t so, yay!
There is a lot of reading ahead of you!
I have quite the wild imagination, and spontaneously some "good" ideas pop out!
Idea No.1: Manga or comic
Title? Idk something like The Fallen
Definitely anime or manga style.
Well my first one is about, and I know I'm gonna sound like an immature 7 year old, but, that's what I usually sound like, like I have broken into a bank full of memes and stolen the chromosomes... Anyway, cancer dealt with, the idea is that there are these Dragon God brothers, and they kill each other. The end.
Basically what happens is the comic/manga starts off with a bang. They, umm, they explode. They fight for a bit, ah yeah, awesome, yup, then one kinda looks dead. Did I mention they fight in the sky? I know I didn't, that's why I asked the question. It was a rhetorical question. Great now I've started arguing with myself.Damned voices!! *Twitches*
So he falls down to Earth, with his powers dimmed, and lands on a secondary character. Idk who this will be.
Back up in the sky, we see the other God person is kneeling in front of an all powerful Dictator of the gods (No, do NOT make a Hitler joke- you, you did it didn't you?). He gets punished and sent falling to like a hell place. Depending on the mythology, it could actually be Hell, or it could be Tartarus, but either way, both gods are now fallen gods. God-that-killed-other-god is now useless, but God-that-was-dead-but-isn't-dead has to find out how to get his powers back, get his brother back and that means going to Tartarus, and stopping this powerful dictator with the power of love
Sound cool? Remind you of anything? (Genji and Hanzo? I'm trying NOT to copy them, but the Dragon brothers part is uncanny)
First God that was shot down
He has three visible dragons, all three protrude from his back, either on his shoulders and side, or two on his side and one on his shoulder, idk. He uses these to fight, they shoot stuff and do things. He is all bad and emo looking but he actually wants what's best for them both. Colours would be black and dark blue. Overall, he seems more defensive as he can shield allies and him by crossing his arms, bringing the three together.
OK, he's not ENTIRELY a d*ck (Man I am censoring like crazy, but meh). He has two visible
dragons, on his arms. They coil around the arms and land on his palms most of the time. They do less and seem weaker than his older (or younger I'm not quite decided yet) brother. However, he has a third dragon that almost never appears. When he is low of energy, his third dragon awakens, his eyes light up, he radiates immense power, rises up like he's been possessed. He gets VERY angry when he's on the brink. Then, at a speed to which nothing can contest, the third dragon explodes out his chest, going straight for it's victim without anything able to get in the way. It passes right through the target, dealing HEAVY damage. Only one thing can deflect it and I think you know what. Colours will be white, the third dragon is also white, and orange.
Well now, haven't given this one much thought. But basically they help First God out.
First God: Ikora (Eye-core-ah)
Second God: Idk, Nameo? sounds ok i guess (Nah-mee-oh)
The Secondary Character: Uhh, this is hard making up names. Isaki? (ee-sah-key)
The Dictator guy: Takashi
Idea No.2: Comic, or maybe a short story
Title: The Eye of the Storm, Or Resenesis
I mentioned this in my previous Journal Entry and it just might be my favourite.
So this is a pretty large one. Ok so to start off, physics f*cked up.
Done, end of story, goddamn it I've already made that joke!
Main char: Joel
"Side" char: Kali
Enemy: Everyone and everything
So, physics doesn't work how it's supposed to here, and this affects everything. Energy just does not work how we know and love it now. Some people find they are able to control the flow
of energy, so not creating it just yet. And one of these rare people just so happens to be the main character. Matter doesn't like to fit properly and loses it's meaning. What I mean by this is that darkness, yes the absence of light, literally becomes thick and physical when it seems to want to. This is the breakdown of reality, and really there shouldn't be any possible way to fix it.
It starts off in a dream. The dream is weird, Joel is lying face down in the mud, he gets up slowly and leans on a tree. The pouring rain and endless wind obscures everything but what he needs to see for plot convenience. A glowing wolf-like creature. He follows the animal into the forest and out onto a headland (The bit that juts out to sea). And off the edge of the headland is a very strong tornado, out in the sea. The wind slowly lifts him up and he enters the Eye of the Storm. Then wakes up.
At some other point i wanna include a dichotomy between what is or isn't real, then turn the world sideways and show on the one side him in the dream and the other in reality. Juxtaposition is the right word. Or maybe he falls down into darkness, the "camera" following him as he falls out of the dream. The dreams show the confusion that happens when physics breaks, relates to reality
Joel, as said before, has the ability to control the flow of energy, but, he can also excel his own energy he needs to survive, he needs to learn how to balance and use this power. He argues with himself a lot (A bit like me) and seems a little unhinged. Ya know I said his dreams reflect reality? Well they kinda messed up in a dream about a party. In the dream it's he that falls, not she.
She, umm, has a power I've yet to explain. She has resenesis, a power of mind over matter, her own matter that is. She does not have telekinesis, this resenesis is something I made up. She can kinda teleport, but it's a bit strange. You know the smoke ability from Second Son? No? Well it's based around that.
What happens to begin with is that Joel and Kali become marked as "Dangerous" by a corrupt government that doesn't know the world is going to end as a result of physics not working as it should. A scene I think would be good is at a party. Joel wonders through the building in a bit of a daze, ending up outside. He relieves his stress and takes a breath of fresh air. The roof gets hit by lightning and some person fall off. Time seems to slow all cliche style and Joel completely absorbs the energy of the guy falling. Make little sense? He gets suspended in air because he cannot fall, the energy that the air needs to move and that the guy needs to fall is completely gone, like his gravity has gone off. As I said, physics f*cks up.
I also thought of a different version of this scene, in which Joel wonders upstairs to the roof and he is the one struck by lightning. He gets struck and can't help but absorb the power, which is too much for him. He faints and falls off the roof, below him is the generator powering the whole thing. He lands in the generator and pretty much explodes. His body is fine, but the huge power he cannot help but to absorb explodes out of him. This scene is the one which stems to him being marked dangerous.
Yep, another version. This time, before the lightning hits, he "Catches" it, absorbing and expelling the energy away from the building.
Idea No.3: Comic
This one is not my favourite. However, the starting point was an idea by my Dad that I've kinda stolen and added parts to to make it better. We were discussing alien movies and why the aliens do the things they do in them.
Starting off, it's to do with giant mechs and aliens.
... But it's not Pacific Rim.
The typical super advanced alien race idea has pretty much no backstory most of the time. Why are they so advanced? Why do they wanna destroy the Earth, a planet perfect for life, inhabited by a race capable of learning and creating tech? Or why do people on this planet wanna destroy the aliens?
Well in my one, the aliens have to come to our solar system, our galaxy, because many reasons.
1. They are so advanced and so into the hive mind mindset, they simply cannot comprehend what freedom is
Also, these aliens are a hive mind, all focused on one objective at a time, so discrimination and freedom of speech simply doesn't exist.
2. Resources. They have mined all the planets in their solar system, made them useless lumps of rock. They need the perfect conditions to continue their sciences and stuff.
3. They have been in search of any other sign of life and not a single other planet so far has been in the right condition to house it, but they believe we are destroying our planet.
Why fight us? Good question. They don't like the human race because of how confusing everything is to them. To them, we are the evil bad guys. To them, we destroy planets with no thought on what that effects.
So pretty much we have to built these giant mechs to stop the aliens mining our solar system. I'd like to point out that this isn't 50 or 100 or even 1000 years in the future, using the current yearly system it would be, say, the year 56 million. A new yearly system has been made, so it's technically the year 56,000. By this time, we colonised Mars and other planets, but even 56 million years in the future, we still can't travel interstellar. Do you think the year 56,000,000 is a bit too much?
This alien race has come, invaded and taken over our entire solar system, idk, maybe even the galaxy. We don't want to be a hive mind, so we fight. Pushed down and cornered, we fight back against this oppression. The aliens don't know what the true meaning or purpose of humanity is, you could say they have lost their "humanity"
They come to Earth to see what humanity really is, but try to forcibly take it from us, like they're trying to literally pull our heads off to see inside, which is completely useless.
By the way, these are Outlines of what I MIGHT create in the future, so there really aren't any spoilers here. Also, please do not plagiarise my ideas as I intend to use them, but I also want to share them.
